mpe case study engineering animation

It was a pleasure working directly with MPE to animate their newly designed system for fish farming. Their innovative designs are changing they way we think of conveyor belts.

It was a pleasure working with Warehouse Collaborative on a Dr. Scholl’s exploded view rendering.

SolidWorks Engineering Drawings to Animation

As a 3D motion design freelancer with a B.S. in industrial design, I help companies bring their engineering models to life with animation. I imported a SolidWorks model I worked on into Cinema 4D to animate it.

World Building for Product animation

I had the honor of beta testing Winbush's Unreal Engine for 3D Artists course for School of Motion. It focused on world building, lighting and texturing for motion design within Unreal Engine. I decided to 3D model and UV texture some assets of my own for the last scene of the Dojong inside of Cinema 4D to import into Unreal Engine. The last scene is inspired by my hobby doing Taekwondo.

Unreal Engine Controller

I believe that there is no one perfect render engine. Knowing as many as possible broadens design possibilities and the pool of creatives one can collaborate with. I’ve invested in learning Redshift, Octane and now Unreal so I can adapt to the projects at hand rather than adapt projects to my software constraints. This animation was created using Unreal Engine.

WWII P-40 Warhawk endless engines

There was nothing quite like cleaning planes to get free flight lessons in high school. What an incredible opportunity to be president of Aviation Explorers. I remember learning the name of each plane I washed, and volunteering at Oshkosh Air Show. While in Oshkosh, standing proud was my favorite plane to see, the WWII P-40 Warhawk with its painted face snarling back at me. I’d proudly wear my favorite bomber jacket with a badge for the Airforce, WASPS (Women Airforce Service Pilots), and Rosy the Riveter. The WASPS badge had a Fifinella designed by Walt Disney as the mascot, a horned female gremlin with wings ready to serve the Air Force. I still have it over 10 years later. When a good friend of mine who learned Cinema 4D beside me at School of Motion said we should both do the Endless Engines challenge, I knew this would be the plane to model. This challenge wasn’t about winning for me. It was an excuse to model my favorite plane, and fall into nostalgia for a moment remembering where I started. WASPS were the first women to serve in the Air Force. They trained men to become pilots and transported planes. They inspire me today.
